AGA Total Control Lady Riders' Championship update - fantastic support from lady riders all over the UK

As the title race really starts to warm up it is worth mentioning the support that our series is receiving from owners, trainers and particularly the lady riders. This is not confined to just one area, it is nationwide, and everything points to a thrilling climax to the season, with a very competitive final at Cheltenham in May.
The Shoe - Camilla Henderson (white), puts in a mighty leap in the Ladies
Open at The Ross Harriers Hunt meeting at Garnons on Sunday (04/03)
The support has ensured that the Ladies Open races have been hugely competitive affairs and we have at least 20 ladies in with a real shout of winning the title, although with 10 points for a win a couple of wins could easily propel you into the top ten whatever your current position!

Derwent Hunt meeting on Sunday (04/03)

The prize for the winner is a brand new AGA Total Control cooker worth almost £10,000 and the league table tells us that this is most definitely a prize that the girls really want to win. The plan for us is to get to the eve of the final and have as many of the girls in contention as possible, and at the moment that is looking like it could happen.
Another winner for Jane
The girls are certainly putting in the miles in search of points and it's paying off, I think the most travelled award at the moment must go to Jane Williams who has even put in a 500+ mile round trip to Scotland to bag 6 points on Swift Counsel. While there are maximum points to be earned in the 28 AGA sponsored qualifiers, the 22 additional races are also offering a great opportunity to pick up those extra points!
Brolly good - cheers Beazo!
Remember, your best 5 point scoring rides count, so once you get to 6 you need to start dropping your lowest score (or scores), the first lady to reach 6 is Jane Williams, giving her a total of 34 points. That means she will drop her lowest score - 2 points, giving her a new total of 32 points. With points in the final at Cheltenham counting double there is a real incentive to try and get to May 2nd with between 30 and 50 points as anything could happen on the night.
The definitive table
What you can see above is the definitive table, updated this week, and checked, then double checked, if anyone would like to query their scores, or if you need me to run through the mechanics, please give me a call at any time. It's really wide open with 28 point scoring races still to be run, 13 AGA sponsored qualifiers, and 15 AGA Total Control races - plus the final. Who's your favourite?
