**BREAKING NEWS** The AGA man has moved his blog!

The AGA man's blog has moved AND it has a new title as David is no longer the AGA man! Please go to davidseverywhere.wordpress.com where you will find lots of old posts from the AGA Pointing days plus photos and updates from Gina and Tom Ellis Racing (where David now works). There will also be plenty of words (and pics) about point-to-point horse racing.

Bubbly Jo Mason claims 10 AGA points for Yorkshire with a sparkling performance at Tabley

I was really looking forward to our visit to Tabley and I wasn't disappointed. Sometimes you get a really good feeling about a fixture and you just know that you're going to have a good day, although it doesn't always go to plan. However, today it did, and when I saw the Mason lorry I knew we were in for some fun ... and lots of talking (yes, somebody who talks more than me!).
Mrs S put on another good spread, although the Mason girls left the Pimms alone until after racing, while Beazo tucked into a slice of cake a little earlier in the afternoon than usual!
The other important member of the Mason team (Laura Clark) was soon in action, and as ever she was sporting her pink AGA polo, and a lovely smile.
Mrs S and the Mason family have just spotted the AGA man pointing a camera in their direction ... wonder what they are thinking?

Two of the three girls who lined up for the AGA ladies race are used to the AGA camera, and Joanna and Jane have starred in many blog posts by the AGA man!
Notice that there are far more pictures than words? That's because Cherry Coward gave me some advice at the beginning of the month, something about "going on a bit sometimes", so I've tried to keep it brief on this post!
What a magnificent setting for a point-to-point meeting!
For a three runner race it was certainly exciting, and as I had told anyone who would listen that Joanna would cause an upset, I did have a satisfied smile on my face for the rest of the afternoon (although I didn't back my prediction up with a bet!).
Oriel Bank beat The General Lee by 3 lengths, with Our Jasper a further 25 lengths back in 3rd, and I managed to beat Beazo back to the paddock where I proceeded to take lots of pictures of smiling people - most of them were members of the Mason family, plus of course Clarky!
Hope you're all enjoying these pics - Laura and Joanna especially!
And there's more ...
We love a nice smiley presentation photo - and let's face it, I can't find one where I'm not smiling! It's always nice to have some guests in our photos and we had two in this one, AGA Retail Sales Director - Angela McPake (next to Susan Mason), and Phyl Lomas from Stables Cuisine (next to me). Phyl has also signed up to the AGA Home Business programme and has a new arm to her business called "Phyl Lomas Cookery Demonstrations", she's good so watch this space!
As we're going to be working together we thought we should have a nice pic taken!
When this one was taken I said to Angela "Page could be our AGA series champion" ... I was right!
Two AGA boys and an AGA winner ... from Yorkshire!
Not for the first time this season the AGA man decides to disrupt the interview!
This is one of those photos that could easily be used for a caption competition!
And the interview is back on track!
Another one for the caption competition!
A decent vantage point for Jane Williams, Jim Squires and Phil Rowley ... who was less than complimentary about my attempt to climb up and join them!
The medical staff visited for a chat about AGA and a sandwich ...
While Clarky and Mrs Mason were back in the paddock with Poppy Day (AGA finalist in 2011) and Wantage Road.
How many Mason pics can you fit into one blog?
A decent 3rd for Poppy Day and a 4th for Wantage Road in the PPORA Club Members 9yo&up rounded off the day nicely for Jo and Bex, although they still had enough energy left to chase after the car to grab the last few sausage rolls! day nicely
The signs came down with a smile (almost), and the boys headed back home after a busy week that had started in Oxfordshire the previous weekend. In between the boys had managed a midweek trip to Somerset, a trip to Durham to prepare for a fixture that was subsequently called off due to a water logged course, and an overnight stay in Leeds, plus a visit to a polo open day in Tarporley! Well done boys!
