AGA point-to-point winners visit the Divertimenti Cookery School in London

Back in July we took all of the winners of our additional award categories - plus our two new champions, for an end of season celebration in London at our Divertimenti Cookery School. A delicious menu was dreamed up for this hands-on session, which was designed to be fun as well as challenging, and each of the winners brought a partner so that they could work in teams.
Something fizzy was served while our group waited for the arrival of our host for the day - TV Chef Rachel Green while AGA Rangemaster Group CEO William McGrath gives his pre-race address, thanking our group for their efforts during the season and telling them to have a great day!
Rachel Green has arrived and after addressing the group she is straight in amongst it to demonstrate that she wants this to be a hands-on session!
I do believe that ace Yorkshire trainer Mrs Cherry Coward has just spotted the camera man!
Will Hickman has just told the girls that all lads can cook so he thinks AGA should sponsor the men's series!
Ruth Tutton does not agree with Mr Hickman and her message is "lady riders are more fun and we are better cooks than the boys!"
Winner of 'best secretary' - Simon Hart, has finished his fish cakes and reached for a glass!
Two of our AGA finalists, Ripper Rippon and Hannah Lewis are the first to attempt the homemade mayonnaise.
A quick check of the instructions for Hannah ... they look like they are enjoying this!
Simon and Martyn have definitely got the technique just right, although Simon has had to put his glass down!
Cherry and Sam try the one handed technique ... and make it look very easy!
Ruth and her mum Jan can see the funny side ... we won't be trying this at home thinks Jan!
Ripper and Hannah can still see the funny side, while Claire and Lucy decide that concentration is the way forward!
Clare Murray and National Champion Jane Williams also try the concentration method.
Will, Frankie, Clare and Jane have decided that they are going to win today ... and we are only on the starters!
Mrs S decides that a bit of advice is needed for Ripper and Hannah, meanwhile Claire and Lucy wait for Simon to come and taste test their mayo ...
And Simon duly arrived to taste it, although for the second time today this meant he had to put his glass down!
Rachel has everyones attention as she trys out some of her one liners ...
Rachel demonstrates multi-tasking!
Lucy is about to attempt a meringue kiss, while Mrs S looks like she wants to taste one!
Jane and her tray of assorted meringue kisses.
Will and Frankie are still determined to win!
Harty and Hannah decide to check out the opposition.
Rachel offers Martyn some advice ... something like "I think Simon has had enough wine now ..."
Not sure what Hannah is saying to Lucy but it certainly isn't putting Harty off!
A well earned round of applause for Rachel from our group - she really enjoyed the day and asked if we could do it all again sometime!
Group photo opportunity number 1 ...
Group photo opportunity number 2 ... with the addition of a happy chef!
Group photo opportunity number 3 ... and this time Mr AGA Pointing has got in on the act!
Mrs AGA Pointing has joined us for group photo opportunity number 4 ... but none of us knew what was about to happen next!
This is what happened next! Our 5th and final group photo opportunity was the best of the lot as Rachel dived across the table ... she also made me promise not to put the photo on the internet!
Once it was all prepared and cooked everyone sat down to eat the fruits of their labour.
Rachel about to serve the pies, some people - Jane Williams, had been particularly creative with the lid!
A soon to be devoured pie, complete with artwork on the lid!
Our AGA Total Control Champion is about to tuck into her pie!
Sam and Cherry Coward enjoyed their day but did not enjoy their train journey home ... no seats!
What a nice spread, and somehow it tastes better when you've prepared it yourself!
They made this as well ... and it was delicious!
Rachel says goodbye, Gloria Ford - who organised the whole day, is also in the picture
