What do AGA Pointing do when we're not at the races?

We see a fair few pony races during the season so when the call came from Mrs Kemp that she was helping to find the next Tony McCoy we thought we should go and take a look.

Reports of ponies jumping over the AGA van were greatly exaggerated

This sounded like a mission for Derek so he was dispatched to Highfield Stables with the van and an armful of AGA brochures. Derek watched while the budding jockeys were put through their paces and he also took the opportunity to get a few good pics as well.

Heather - "In Total Control"

It was reassuring to know that Heather was "In Total Control", however, the eagle eyed among you will also spot Derek in the background of this photo enjoying a bacon sandwich and a catch up with Tony "Kempers" Kemp.

This AGA van really does get everywhere

The previous day we had taken the opportunity to visit Fergal and Jelly O'Brien and their fantastic team at Cilldara Stud. Fergal is well known as a trainer of very good Point-to-Point horses, but is now in his first season as a fully fledged National Hunt trainer, with Jelly taking over the training of the pointers.
